The Flash season 3: Grant Gustin engaged to LA Thoma
Earlier today, the star of The Flash confirmed with a simple post on Instagram that he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend LA Thorma — he didn’t offer much in the way of a caption, but he didn’t really need to in this instance. Thorma is a physiotherapist, but other than that there is not too much publicly known about her. She and Grant have a pretty normal relationship by those standards, and they seem to value their relationship behind the scenes as pretty special and sacred.
There isn’t too much to say here other than congratulations to Grant! This has to be an exciting time of his life, and the engagement came at a perfect time given that he now has a little bit of a break because of there not being any new episodes of The Flash filming at the moment. The show will be on hiatus until July or so, when production on season 4 formally begins. The Flash films in Vancouver, which probably means that there is even more of a travel component with this relationship than most others that are out there. The good thing for Grant is that he probably has plenty of co-stars across The CW who know a thing or two about having to travel frequently between their work and home lives.
Hopefully, the two parties will have a little bit of time now to enjoy their engagement. What we love about this announcement is that the two keep things simple — they didn’t try to sell it to the tabloids, or make some huge plea for attention. It was perfect for them, it was happy, and it’s clearly a huge moment in both of their lives. There’s also some fun timing in here as Grant is engaged at the same time that his character Barry Allen is in the Flash story.
