Hawaii Five-0 season 7 episode 23 sneak peek: Danny tires to build a bed
Basically, this sneak peek is further proof of one thing more than anything else — we can watch Steve McGarrett and Danny do anything on this show and have a good time doing it. The basis of the sneak peek below is simply all about the two of them getting into the remodeling game — McGarrett jokes to his partner that they should go do one of those home-renovation shows, which Danny responds to by saying that he hates him. Is this the most predictable Danny sentiment of all time? We’re starting to think that.
Seeing the two guys bicker about their future in home improvement is hilarious, but the trademark back-and-forth only gets better from there as we see Danny try and fail miserably at building a child’s bed. This is clearly upsetting him greatly; he may be able to take down everyone from murderers to drug dealers — he was even able to help stop a bomb earlier this season — but the idea of constructing a kid’s bed is just too daunting for him. It probably doesn’t help that Steve is trolling him on the subject.
We understand that the majority of this probably doesn’t have all that much to do with the rest of the episode, which revolves mostly around Danny trying to protect a coma patient who is an important witness for him on a case many years in the past. We don’t really care so much about that, just because the preview is funny and above all else, really accomplished what the main goal of this show is: Being relentlessly entertaining. Also the McGarrett / Danny dynamic is one of the reasons why this show stands out and remains so consistently strong in the ratings against some of the other competition out there.
