Shots Fired episode 7 preview: Riot aftermath and more

Shots Fired episode 7

What’s coming up on Shots Fired episode 7? It feels almost strange to segue into a preview for the next episode given everything that happened over the course of tonight’s hour plus the short tribute that we had at the end of it. Yet, this is precisely what we had to do. We’re getting set now to gear up for a pretty intense story that is coming.

Also, we’re very much in the home stretch of the season right now. Things are only going to build from here, and we have a feeling that whether it be for Beck or Preston, nothing is going to be slowing down until you get to the finale. (Even then, there is no guarantee.)

Take a look below for some further insight into what’s coming up next.

Shots Fired episode 7 synopsis – “The district attorney calls to inform Preston that he is sending in a new team to investigate the case, but Preston remains focused and determined to find the underlying truth. The conflicting stories muddle the investigation, leaving a witness hanging dangerously in the balance with her testimony of what actually happened the night Joey Campbell died. Amidst the aftermath of the riots, yet another compromising video of Beck surfaces.”

So where are we standing right now in terms of a Shots Fired season 2? We do think that if the ratings were strong, Fox would find a way to bring the series back — this is a network that is at the moment limping its way towards the finish line, after all. The show is averaging around a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic so far — it has a shot if the show can maintain that, but we have to say that we’re not super-confident at the moment given that the numbers have been lower as of late. We’ll take another look at this tomorrow, though, to see if there is any improvement.
