The Voice results: Did #VoiceSave help Troy Ramey, Mark Isaiah?

#VoiceSaveTonight, we’re getting the first The Voice results show of the season featuring the #VoiceSave. With that, things are going to be interesting!

Going into the show tonight, we were very much worried about artists like Lilli Passero and Mark Isaiah. They were the ones who were struggling the most in terms of iTunes results, and as a result of that, we did feel as though they would be in jeopardy. With that said, we’ve seen a number of examples over the years of people on this show who manage to sneak by the first few rounds despite some poor iTunes sales. One great example of that came courtesy of Lilli, who was declared safe even after we spent a good big of time thinking that she was going to be in need of the save.

We’re going to have some further updates on the show as the night goes on, so be sure to refresh the page!

Who needed the Save? – Troy Ramey and Mark Isaiah. Can’t say we’re all that surprised by the results since they both finished near the bottom of iTunes — specifically, Mark was out of the top 200. He took on a pretty current song in the first show, but it just didn’t work for him then.

Who was saved? – Mark makes it through to the next round. It’s hard to argue too much with the choice here, given that he has the talent and the potential to go further. Yet, we understand that there are probably many iTunes buyers in particular who were upset about the move. We don’t think that Mark has the upside to make it far or win the competition, but who knows? Maybe he can surprise us and start to turn some things around a little bit.
