Is Hawaii Five-0 new tonight on CBS? New Kono finale preview
Why the random hiatus tonight? It’s a good question, but unfortunately the only real answer that we can offer up here is that it has a thing or two to deal with CBS wanting to keep new episodes on the air during May sweeps. That is a crucial time for networks in terms of wanting to ensure that they maximize their ratings potential. Therefore, we’re not all that surprised by the hiatus.
While you are waiting for the show to return with new episodes next week, we do have a gift for you now coming in the form of the photo above! This image was released by CBS for the upcoming finale, and it gives you a little bit of where some of the story could be going for Kono. What we’ve already thrown out there is that this episode is going to harken back to earlier this season where the investigation began into a sex-trafficking ring; by the time the finale ends, Kono could be making a decision that greatly impacts the remainder of her life. It will be interesting to see how said decision manifests itself, and we’re going to have a whole assortment of news as we get closer and closer to the episode airing.
One thing that you can think about for a minute here is that legacy has become one of the central themes for the entirety of this season. Therefore, we would assume that the future is probably something that is weighing heavily on Kono’s mind as she starts to think a little bit more and more about her life and her future outside of her time with the Five-0 … not that we see her leaving there at any point in the future.
