Is Grey’s Anatomy new tonight on ABC? Further casting news
Alas, there is no new installment coming your way tonight, as the network is taking a brief one-week hiatus in order to rest and regroup before coming back on the air next week. Here’s the big silver lining that we have — there will be new episodes much of the way this season. Think of this week off as a chance to take a deep breath, relax, regroup, and then prepare for everything that is coming up down the road.
While you do wait for the next new episode to air on ABC, let’s go ahead and share a little bit more in the way of casting news…
According to an Instagram post via Camilla Luddington, her real-life boyfriend Matthew Alan is going to be appearing on one upcoming episode of the show! It looks like he will be spending time with Stephanie Edwards (played by Jerrika Hinton) on the show, but that is the only thing that is 100% confirmed for the time being.
If we were to throw out one of our own prevailing theories into the universe, it’s that Alan will be a family member of a patient, someone who could eventually share screen time with Luddington as a nice Easter egg for fans. we know that there are some people speculating that he could be playing Jo’s abusive and estranged husband, but there isn’t really any tangible evidence suggesting that this is actually happening. Could it still? Sure, but there isn’t a whole lot of buzz on that subject for the time being. At the moment, the majority of the buzz is geared instead on Matthew Morrison playing that role. (For the record, it still has not been technically confirmed that Morrison is going to be appearing on the show — but you can pretty much assume that he is.)
