The Big Bang Theory season 10 episode 22 spoilers: Zack returns!
The April 27 episode is entitled “The Cognition Regeneration” (probably as abstract an episode title as we’ve seen), and the synopsis below details a little more of what is coming and how Zack will be back in the picture:
“Leonard isn’t thrilled when Penny considers taking a new job offered by her ex-boyfriend, Zack (Brian Thomas Smith).”
So why would Leonard be upset? We don’t think that Zack and Penny had the worst breakup known to mankind, and they’ve certainly been civil in the past. Leonard may just feel that this is some sort of insult to his manhood to have Penny working for someone who she was attached to romantically in the past. It may sound silly, but this does feel like one of those things that we could see him getting upset about.
As for what we like about the Zack character, he never seemed like a terrible guy even if he was a little dense. He got along with some of the other guys more than you would expect. His presence is also a reminder of the sort of person that Penny used to spend more time with during the early days of the series.
Also, who’s going to be upset about a story that touches more on Penny’s professional career? So often that gets pushed to the backburner in the wake of everything else that is going on throughout the show. It’ll be nice to see her get some further opportunities in the spotlight and for us to learn more about where her career could be going.
