NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 finale cliffhanger likely, says Daniela Ruah

Will there be a big NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 finale cliffhanger? Based on some of the earliest evidence out there, it seems likely.

Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, Daniela Ruah offered up the following comment in terms of what is coming in the finale, and also where we could be seeing the show go moving into the final moments of the season. What’s especially intense about what she says here is that it looks like more of an issue lasting the entire series as opposed to your normal, run-of-the-mill cliffhanger:

“Oh my gosh, people will be floored. I’m not kidding … We’ve had edge-of-your-seat moments before, but this is a real big one — and it’s not something that’s going to just be resolved. It’s something that’s going to stick with us for the remainder of the show, until we go off the air. It’s not just a Season 8 thing, it’s something that’s going to be present forever.”

If that doesn’t make your drop a little bit, it’s hard to know what will! This is just enough of a tease to have us engaged and starting to ponder a little over what the future of the series could be … not just what we want it to be. What we do like about the show is that there does seem to be a willingness to continue evolving the show in interesting ways. The writers don’t want the show to simply just be the same thing time and time again, and that’s something that we in turn very much appreciate.

For the most part, it’s a little too early to know for certain how the story on season 8 is going to get … other than that we’re probably going to get something big when it comes to the Deeks – Kensi relationship. To date, this has been a big part of the foundation of the past few seasons, and we’re hoping that an engagement will come by the end. We don’t think that this is going to be the super-dramatic cliffhanger that Ruah is talking about here, but this is something to at least think about.
