Dancing with the Stars: Who was eliminated — Erika Jayne or Normani Kordei?
Based on some of the early results that we got on the show tonight, these were two of the names that were declared “in jeopardy.” We weren’t surprised at all to see Erika’s name there, given that she as a performer has struggled here or there, and she doesn’t have the biggest fan following out of anyone who is a part of this season.
Now that we’ve said that, we were genuinely shocked to see Normani put in that spot, given that the Fifth Harmony singer is one of the best performers week in and week out. While she didn’t have her best week seven days ago, we like to think that the overall body of work really does mean something. The moment that she was declared in jeopardy, we thought it was mostly just production trolling us since in jeopardy doesn’t necessarily mean the bottom two or anything of the sort.
The other person declared in danger was Nick Viall, and there was probably more of a shot that he was going home than Erika based on everything that we’ve seen so far this season.
Full results – When Tom Bergeron announced that Erika and Gleb were leaving, it was hard to have any sort of audible gasp. These were the two who had one of the lower scores last week, and we know that there is a history of Real Housewives alum going home at around this time. She’s not the sort of person who is extremely vulnerable all of the time, but she showed off a lot this season and had a nice, classy exit from the show. We’ll miss her just for the sake of unpredictability in the dance.
With that said, her elimination tonight basically means that the playing field is really level moving forward. We don’t actually know anymore who the most likely person to go home next is, though the show seems to want to make you think it could be Nick.
