Call the Midwife season 6 episode 4 (PBS): Helen George’s Trixie back
Remember her keep-fit classes from season 5? Those will play a role in the episode, as will a habit that Trixie needs to give up. She’ll also be collaborating with an unexpected person on one of her latest cases. (Suffice it to say, she’s not going to waste a whole lot of time following her return in order to dive back into some of her work.)
Meanwhile, be prepared to see a rather heartfelt story for Dr. Turner, one that revolves around something that many parents experience during a pregnancy period when they already have a child.
The synopsis below offers you up a few more details, though we don’t quite think that there is anything that gives away major details regarding what is coming up ahead.
Call the Midwife season 6 episode 4 synopsis – “An expectant mother buckles under the strains of pregnancy. As Tom provides pastoral care, he reveals why this case has touched him more than most.”
This episode should in the end prove to be a fun one for some characters, but also a hard one for others — especially Tom. You just to remember for a moment here that this is a man who spends most of his life serving both his religion and his people. If he is not impacted by some of what he comes across, he would not be doing his job properly.
The last thing that we will say — for now — in setting up this episode is that it’s looking more and more like it could be a big one for Shelagh in the aftermath of everything that transpired to date. Her pregnancy has been very challenging (to put it lightly), and we don’t quite think that this is going to chance in the immediate future. It’s a good thing that she has many caring, devoted people around her.
