Ivanka Trump to grace CBS This Morning; Bill O’Reilly fallout

CBS This Morning

For the sake of this article, we thought it best to give you multiple doses of politically-themed TV news in a single story. After all, politics aren’t really our focus on the site, but there are a couple of things in here that you more than likely are going to want to know about.

CBS this Morning – Let’s start with the morning-news program, as it was officially confirmed today that they are going to be welcoming in Ivanka Trump for an appearance on Wednesday morning’s broadcast. She will be interviewed by Gayle King, which is probably going to be interesting mostly just because of the way that President Trump has commented on almost any news show that does not air over on Fox News.

In this interview, it’s expected that one of the major focuses is going to be Ivanka’s new White House role, a subject of great controversy for many people. This is the first televised interview for her since taking on the position, so there is far more intrigue with her than there would be otherwise. Also, there will probably be big ratings, mostly because there does tend to be intrigue one way or another when it comes to all things Trump.

The O’Reilly Factor – Meanwhile, let’s head over now from CBS over to Fox News, given some of the recent controversy surrounding host Bill O’Reilly. In the wake of a New York Times story alleging settlements paid out by Fox News due to O’Reilly’s behavior towards women, Mercedes has reported shifted its advertising away from the program. In a statement (per Deadline), here is what the company had to say:

“Given the importance of women in every aspect of our business, we don’t feel this is a good environment in which to advertise our products right now.”

It should be noted that O’Reilly has denied any impropriety, but there is still trepidation out there within the marketplace.

On the more comedic side of things…

If you missed it, we reported yesterday that Comedy Central is officially creating a weekly comedy series that is all about Trump, courtesy of a famed impersonator. This should be funny, but it should also be highly controversial. You can head over here to get some further news all about it.
