Is NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 20 new tonight

Is NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 20 new tonight? We come bearing some news tonight, but alas, it’s probably not the sort of news that many people out there want: We’re not getting a new episode.

The big reason for the hiatus is rather simple: The Academy of Country Music Awards. The annual awards show take the Sunday shows off of the air for one week a season, so this is something you’ll get used to being aware of if NCIS: LA chooses to stay in this timeslot moving into the fall. They’ve already certainly become aware of a wide array of other things ever since the show took over this spot, whether it be frequent timeslot shifts because of football or various awards shows / special making CBS a little wary when it comes to the schedule. The LL Cool J / Chris O’Donnell series was off the air for almost the entirety of the month of February for this very reason.

Just in case you are interested now in getting a further assortment of news regarding what you can expect to see moving forward, we’ve got for you first some scheduling news. There will be a new installment on Sunday, April 9, one that you can preview further over here. Meanwhile, there is not one on April 16. When the show returns to CBS on April 23, it will be with an installment entitled “Battle Scars,” one that sounds as though it could be rather interesting thanks to some of the information released by CBS on the subject:

“After a highly decorated Navy Captain, Charles Langston (Carl Lumbly), kidnaps a Veterans Affairs administrator who has been siphoning funds, the NCIS team must work with Hetty’s former Vietnam War colleagues, now-retired Admiral AJ Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) and Admiral Sterling Bridges (James Remar) to solve the case.”

Getting to see Remar on the show is what excites us about some of this information, given that this is a guy who we remember rather fondly for playing Henry Morgan on Showtime’s Dexter for many years. he’s also gearing up for an important role on Gotham, playing the part of Jim Gordon’s uncle when that show returns with the remainder of its stories coming up in April. It’ll be fun to see multiple shows featuring Remar in just a matter of days.

Of course, be sure to share your thoughts on this story below! We’ll have further news on NCIS: Los Angeles as we get it.
