Survivor: Game Changers episode 6: Exile Island; is someone returning?

Survivor: Game Changers episode 6

Based on the Survivor: Game Changers episode 6 preview that aired after tonight’s new episode, all of the preseason hype is justified in terms of this season containing a near-constant stream of big twists and turns to the game.

The first thing we should note is that there will be a tribe swap, and seemingly, we’re going to be going back to two tribes after spending the past three episodes at three. If the merge is coming at thirteen, that means that we could end up having two more Tribal Councils at this current incarnation of the game. (For the record, we’re okay with some of these twists, minus the one with Malcolm last week; let’s just hope they slow it down slightly for the next season with newbie players.)

The next twist is one that really blew us away: Exile Island! The last time it was featured was in Survivor: Kaoh Rong when Julia went out there for a vote and returned after Anna was voted out. Bringing it back here is a way to leave one player on their own after the other tribes come together. Maybe this offers up temporary safety, since it means that whoever gets sent out there stays there for a good week similar to what happened with Julia.

Finally, we now have this crazy idea: A former Survivor turning up! What does this mean? It’s hard to have any bearing here, given that the show doesn’t say whether or not it’s a current player, or someone from a past season. We can’t imagine them getting some random free pass to enter the season again, even if production loves people like Malcolm and JT. Maybe they’re just going to help whoever stays out on Exile Island in some capacity.

One way or another, we anticipate this being an exciting episode ahead! After her crazy-good move tonight getting JT voted out of the game, you have to think that Sandra is the person running the show more than anyone. Yet, there’s a tribe swap, and she is a huge threat. This is the sort of thing that can easily upset everything. Almost anyone can get voted out as a result of that.

Let us know in the comments what you expect to see happen on Friday night’s new episode! Meanwhile, be sure to head over here in the event you want to get our review from earlier tonight. (Photo: CBS.)
