The Bachelorette spoilers: A Rachel Lindsay photo; future destination
The big thing that we want to start with here is some evidence as to what’s going on with the season right now — namely, she’s finished filming her third episode! This is something that creator Mike Fleiss teased was going to be transpiring yesterday, and now, we also have the latest photo of Rachel from the set via Twitter! The first three episodes tend to all be filmed around the show’s mansion, with dates occasionally taking people to some other parts of the state. We know that one date involved an Ellen taping, whereas another involved an appearance from legendary basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. What’s a little bit odd about the latter is that he wrote earlier this year a guest column in The Hollywood Reporter, accusing the show of effective ruining romance.
As for where the show is going following episode 3, Twitter’s already made it clear that the cast and crew will be moving over to South Carolina for at least an episode. This does make us somewhat reminiscent of Emily Maynard’s season, which is when the show actually started the season in North Carolina so that Emily didn’t have to uproot her life all that much with her daughter. There’ll potentially be another episode somewhere in America after this (the show often gets some unique promotional travel deals with various parts of the country) before heading off to some other parts of the world leading up to hometown dates.
Can you argue that it’s a little boring that The Bachelor / The Bachelorette does the same thing structurally every season? Sure, but at the same time that’s what works for them. This is not a series that often opts to change things up because it already gets MONSTER ratings. When you get Ellen for a group date, you know things are going well.
