New The Originals season 4 trailer features Claire Holt, Leah Pipes’ return
This new trailer is surprisingly long (not that we are complaining), and it offers up a good bit of insight into some of the overall themes that you can expect to see over the course of the season ahead. Specifically, one thing that we do see The Originals very much emphasizing here is the role of family, and some of the close bonds that they do have and that want to try and maintain. Klaus wants to be a father to Hope, but as Marcel points out, he wasn’t exactly much of a father to him at times. Also, you’re going to be seeing an element of danger when it comes to Hope. When you consider the origins of her birth, it’s not surprising that she will have her own unique place within this world.
In circling back now to some of the returning cast members, what we know about Cami coming back is that she could offer up Klaus some closure, or potentially serve as a guiding light. Maybe she is for him precisely what Harry was for Dexter Morgan. Rebekah, meanwhile, is something else entirely. While she may not be a regular, you could be poised to see more of her in action than you did through much of the second and third seasons on the air. The more Mikaelsons we have, the better off we’re ultimately going to be as a viewer!
Now, we really just have to hope that there is some sort of further opportunity coming up for us to see more viewers jump on board the show. It had a great premiere and this is a great trailer; hopefully, this serves as a nice foundation for a season 5!
