Chicago Med season 2 episode 17 sneak peek: Nothing stops in ‘Monday Mourning’
In the video below (via TV Guide). Dr. Manning runs into one of her hardest challenges on the series to date as she tries to ensure that she can bring back a little boy from a terrible and potentially-deadly situation. His body is effectively frozen, and she refuses to announce him dead until she finds a way to get his body temperature up. What makes it more challenging is finding all of the necessarily supplies in order to make certain that this happens. Supplies are often in short supply around the hospital, so this is a situation that she is probably familiar with. That doesn’t make anything easier, though.
While Manning does work to save this young boy, you’ll also see at the same time Dr. Reese do her part in order to care for the person responsible for helping to save him.
The question beyond this peek is still who within the hospital is going to take their own life. There have been questions surrounding a major character death on the series for months now, and Thursday’s episode is entitled “Monday Mourning” for a reason. Even some of the promos that have been released tease some sort of suicide is coming. It’s pretty difficult in order to fully pinpoint just who on the series could be losing their life, mostly because of the fact that you’ve got a wide array of people who most likely aren’t leaving. Judging from this preview, it’s fair to say that both Natalie and Reese are going to be fine. Meanwhile, there are a few other characters who haven’t shown any sign of mental anguish that would cause them to want to take their own life.
Do we have some characters we’re worried for? Sure, but we don’t want to do the thing where we post them, we turn out to be right, and then everyone accuses us of having some advance knowledge (we don’t) or spoiling something in advance that takes the intrigue out of the mystery.
