While you wait for Poldark season 3, here’s the latest honor
So while you wait, why not celebrate some of the show’s achievements along the way?
As the post from the show’s official Twitter account below makes it clear, the series was the recipient of the Best HD Drama Programme of the Year at the TRIC Awards earlier in the week. This is a subject that we wrote a little more extensively about recently, and it’s nice to see that the show continues to get some love for its various achievements. Obviously, the performances from Aidan Turner and the cast are fantastic — there’s a reason why there’s been plenty of love sent his way — but it’s also great to see that the show is getting some further love for its crew, producers, and everyone else responsible for making the show.
In terms of work out on location, filming for Poldark season 3 is complete. Still, there is a good bit of work to be done behind the scenes to transfer the magic of what was done out in Cornwall and beyond to what ends up on television. Making TV is an extensive process! We understand that scheduling the show is a little bit of a delicate game, given that you want to find the absolute right spot for it in the BBC schedule where it can shine. If it premieres in late summer / early fall, we imagine it starting not too much further after that for some American viewers who are catching the show over on PBS.
