Today marks the final day of our TV Madness polling series, or at least the final day of the first round of it! There are two more sets of showdowns that we have to focus on, and both of them feature some high-quality series doing battle in order to make it to the next round.
Within this article, we’ve got two very different shows in Chicago PD and Teen Wolf fighting from now until March 20, where they will then have an opportunity to compete once more against the winner of This Is Us and Black Sails, who recently won the right to make it into the field of 32. Let’s dive into what makes these two shows such worthy candidates for the competition this season!
Chicago PD (#3 seed) – This is a show that’s become an institution both at the site and with our reader base, and it doesn’t take much effort in order to determine why. It tells fantastic, intense, and heartfelt stories anchored by a wonderful cast. It throws you into the world of its characters, and makes it clear time and time again that this is not a show out to make itself into the generic cop show where nothing that happens one week carries over to the next. It’s a contender that other shows should be concerned about in this tournament, given that we’ve seen it in several shapes and forms secure rather huge victories here on the site in the past.
Teen Wolf (#6 seed) – Meanwhile, here we’ve got a show that caters to a very different audience, but has a base of fans who are equally passionate nonetheless about what they are getting a chance to see. Teen Wolf is a series that is inspirational at times, dangerous at others, and it produces characters who are relatable to its demo and the sort of people you want to root for. In a way, you can say that there is a parallel between it and Chicago PD in that they are both effectively about groups of people trying to make the world better. Given that this is the final year for Teen Wolf eligibility in the tournament, there’s still a reasonably good shot that it makes it far on the basis of nostalgia. Chicago PD fans, be aware!
Now, we turn this over to you in the poll! Remember that you can vote however many times you like.
