The Blacklist season 4 spoilers: Mr. Kaplan episode coming

Mr. Kaplan remains one of the best characters on The Blacklist, so we do think that this is a cause of GREAT celebration: The character is coming back!

Not only that, but this character is coming back sooner rather than later. According to TV Guide, you’re going to get so much more than you bargained for when it comes to the character. You’re going to get an entire episode that is all about the character and her history with Red and her team. This is the sort of backstory that is absolutely welcome at this point, given that we’ve gotten to see so much of her over the years. (Personally, we’d be down for her to be even more permanent that she is.)

So why is this so important? Well, Mr. Kaplan is still out there, and we do still think that she could be behind what happened to Red in the end … though Megan Boone isn’t quite ruling out Dembe completely just yet. Here is what she had to say on the subject to the website:

“The killing of Mr. Kaplan, or the supposed killing, is something that really shocked Red’s entire team of people that he keeps around him … [Dembe] didn’t want to become Mr. Kaplan.”

She makes a very compelling argument in terms of mapping out exactly what the motivation could have been for someone like Dembe to go through with this, but we do still contend that it would take a lot for him to do it. Still, he could have given the tip-off to Mr. Kaplan or someone else to do it. We just have a feeling that this is so much more complex than you would ever imagine upon first glance, largely because of the fact that everything with this show is.

Unfortunately, you do still have to wait until April to see the other side of this. Fingers crossed that it ends up being worth it, and there are some good surprised being saved for the end of the run this time.

Of course, we welcome some of your thoughts below! Tell us if you’re excited to see Mr. Kaplan come back on the show again later this spring. (Photo: NBC.)
