Bachelor in Paradise season 4: Chris Soules being recruited
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in a Facebook live interview, Soules confirmed that he was asked, but he’s still trying to figure out what he wants to do given that his stints on The Bachelorette and also The Bachelor did not help him when it comes to getting a permanent partner:
“I’ve already been asked, and I don’t know what to do … I’ve gotten chubby. That’s my main concern. Those guys have abs and s–t!”
He also said that this was the longest time that he’s been single, and he’s having two major problems finding someone — his previous fame being a roadblock, and living in a very small town. Ironically enough, the latter is also one of his big issues with finding love on television, since he effectively is asking someone, even if it is indirectly, to uproot their entire life in order to consider being with him. It’s also hard to continue that fame train when you are living in the middle of nowhere, and that may be hard for some reality TV personalities to swallow.
The funny thing about Chris to us is just how funny he is, and that’s not something that was made apparent in his Bachelor season. It was only after the fact we started to get a good sense of that. He’d be good on Paradise in terms of being entertaining, but we don’t have any clue if this would work out for him. We do think that there’d be interest from the other women, mostly because of the fact that he’s one of the franchise’s biggest stars and there is a sense that he would bring in some pretty substantial ratings across the board. We figure that he’s probably not the only former Bachelor or Bachelorette star the producers would want — we have to imagine that Andi Dorfman’s received a few calls. Whether or not she’d do it is an entirely different story, but it would be interesting if she and Chris ended up being a part of the same season again.
