Criminal Minds season 12 episode 16 promo: Reid attacked in prison
At the start of the promo, you do get a sense of a “twisted crime” that is haunting the BAU — in other words, the same sort of stuff they they are ALWAYS haunted by. Sometimes, we do have an eyeroll moment or two when looking at these clips and something like that is announced by Creepy Narrator Guy. When is Criminal Minds going to have a case that revolves around someone stealing daisies from someone’s garden and taking them home for their flower pots?
Anyhow, whatever this case happens to be is something that sets off Reid, who could be getting increasingly frustrated (and understandably so) by the fact that he remains locked up behind bars. He’s going to want to help, but it’s not going to be all that easy for him to do so. He’s got limited information. Not only that, but he has will have to watch his back given that there are going to be people from every corner of the universe in here who are more than desperate to try and take him down a few notches. Specifically, they call him a “snitch,” which feels pretty much like common prison vocabulary when you want to beat people to a pulp. Poor Reid. We do hope that one way or another, he does find a way to work through some of this chaos and still resemble his old self by the other side of it.
Unfortunately, we don’t get any indication that Reid’s time in prison is going to be over anytime soon. Let’s hope that he starts to get accustomed to being in that prison jumpsuit — we gotta hope that for the sake of Matthew Gray Gubler, they’re giving him a fresh one and not just forcing him to wear that for many weeks on end.
