Dancing with the Stars: Ex-Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe now has Mike Fleiss’ support

Kaitlyn

Is the Dancing with the Stars – Kaitlyn Bristowe dream closer to coming to fruition? Not exactly. Instead, what we have today is another layer of shade.

In the latest post on Twitter (see below), Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss offered up his full endorsement of Kaitlyn for Dancing with the Stars, mere days after she first revealed that she was set to join a previous season before he nixed the casting at the last second, citing supposedly that he didn’t want his show to be seeing simply as a springboard for larger fame. (We wrote almost a thousand words on the ridiculousness of all of this yesterday over at the link here.)

While it may seem superficially here like he is extending an olive branch to Kaitlyn, it really isn’t anything more than window dressing. For any former Bachelor or Bachelorette, their peak relevancy is in the weeks that follow their season. The odds of Kaitlyn being in demand over at ABC are now extremely slim; if any Bachelorette star is cast for the fall season, it’s Rachel Lindsay if she wants the gig. Fleiss likely knows this.

As you would imagine, Kaitlyn had quite the response of her own to this. She also seems to be aware that she has little shot at the casting now, and suggests that Fleiss only said this to appease people who were coming at him over sexism allegations. After all, Nick Viall is on this current Dancing with the Stars season, and the majority of the franchise stars to do the dance competition have all been men. (Trista Sutter and Melissa Rycroft were both a part of the series, but there were special circumstances around each of their appearances.)

In the end, this feud will probably fade now into the background, but rest assured that with Fleiss at the center of a three-ring circus, there’ll probably be something else to criticize him for down the line.
