The Voice: Lilli Passero’s blind audition closes the show

The Voice -

Tonight, The Voice only ran an order to make way for a new episode of The Wall, and it’s fair to say that they saved someone really fantastic for last. Lilli Passero was the last person to perform, and she chose to do so with “A Love of My Own.”

It’s fair to say that this was going to be an audition worthy of the hype. The show loves to put people at the end of their shows that have the potential to go extremely far. That doesn’t mean that they always will, but there’s something about them that the producers like.

Lilli’s audition was all sorts of fantastic, and there was something about her voice that you could see bridging the gap of many different genres. We could see her having a rich pop sound, but at the same time she could do some old-school doo-wop or throwback sould. She was even dressed on what felt like a very vintage outfit. She got plenty of attention from the coaches tonight, but in the end, she picked Alicia!

In addition to her performance tonight, Passero has a few other acting credits to her name. She’s done several short films over the years, and even appeared in an episode of the Matthew Perry comedy Go On, which ironically also aired on NBC. There is a good bit of network kinship here! While she may want to be a singer, she should have a wide array of options for herself at the end of this season, really no matter how long she lasts.

If you missed it, we wrote previously about tonight’s new episode over at the link here.
