Fear the Walking Dead season 3 synopsis, first photo of Strand released

Strand -

The third season of Fear the Walking Dead will be coming to AMC starting this summer, and judging from the first image of the show above, you could be seeing Strand in quiet contemplation. Also, it’s possible that Strand has found one of the cleanest places in the entire zombie apocalypse. The show is going to stay geographically in a relatively similar location, and the show will specifically be focusing on some “international” issues that maybe aren’t quite so international anymore. Maybe this is the show’s way of bringing about a people-are-people political message, and if so, it could be very much effective since it doesn’t matter so much anymore where you’re from. It matters more who you are, and what you want to contribute to the world moving forward.

Take a look now at the official synopsis for what’s coming up:

“As Fear the Walking Dead returns for season three, our families will be brought together in the vibrant and violent ecotone of the U.S.-Mexico border. International lines done away with following the world’s end, our characters must attempt to rebuild not only society, but family as well. Madison (Kim Dickens) has reconnected with Travis (Cliff Curtis), her apocalyptic partner, but Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) has been fractured by her murder of Andres. Madison’s son mere miles from his mother, Nick’s (Frank Dillane) first action as a leader saw Luciana (Danay Garcia) ambushed by an American militia group — the couple escaped death, but Nick no longer feels immortal. Recovering both emotionally and physically, Strand (Colman Domingo) has his sights set on harnessing the new world’s currency, and Ofelia’s (Mercedes Mason) captivity will test her ability to survive and see if she can muster the savagery of her father.”

The image below gives you a look at where Madison and Travis are now after their reunion. There may be a sense of happiness that comes from the two parties getting together once more, but heartache that comes from the separation of so many that they care about. The show made a bold move in not just forcing all the regulars together again at the end of season 2; now, we should have a good opportunity to see how that pays off.
