Shark Tank preview: The Elephant Pants, Sand Cloud Towels, DartDrones, Ora Organic

Shark Tank -

Will The Elephant Pants on “Shark Tank” make an impression? What about Sand Cloud Towels? Tonight’s episode is notable for several different reasons. It’s an hour featuring millennial entrepreneurs first and foremost, so they’ll be doing their best to launch their own products first and foremost.

Beyond that, this is also going to be an opportunity in order to see the show make it past $100 million in investments. That’s such a notable milestone that “20/20” tonight is airing a special all about it! Check out our take on all of the individual products below; remember, you can click on the link to go to the official sites for some further information.

DartDrones – If you ever had some sort of interest in learning to operating a drone, we may have the product for you! The entire idea behind the company is education and excellent, and they offer courses in a wide variety of ways and places. For the record, we see a bunch of idiots flying drones around without any clue what they’re doing. There is a clear market for this, but as someone who’s never had any interest in this sort of thing, it’s easy to say that it’s not for us.

The Elephant Pants – This fits perfectly into the “Shark Tank” playbook for 2017 of finding products that are not only intuitive and smartly-designed, but also socially conscious and help raise awareness for a cause. On this particular occasion, that said cause is helping to raise money for elephants who need protection in what is a dangerous world. They sell a variety of harem pants and other accessories. Once again, we’re not the market … but they look comfortable.

Ora Organic – This is variations on a theme, and the theme is health-conscious products featuring natural, organic ingredients. This time around, we’re talking about plant-based protein powders and other products designed to help assist with a healthy lifestyle. We absolutely applaud the effort to be health-conscious, but the concern entering the Tank tonight is a simple one: Will this stand out amidst every other project that has been on the show over time?

Sand Cloud Towels – Think The Elephant Pants, but with beach towels and beach blankets. They’ve got the same mission of trying to sell a high-quality variation on a product, but with a mission to raise money for a cause. This time around, that cause is trying to save marine life. Their towels appear nice based on the website, but they’ll have to overcome price competition and really establishing themselves as different in the Tank.
