The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay details upcoming Nick Viall breakup

Rachel -

It’s certainly weird to speak about The Bachelorette before the Nick Viall – Rachel Lindsay breakup happens onscreen, but this is precisely where we are at the moment. ABC chose to shake things up by announcing her as the next lead of the show far earlier than usual, and it appears that there was a very specific reasoning for that: Casting. They want to ensure they get enough candidates, and the right ones to go along with that.

As a result of this, Rachel is already on a little bit of a media tour prior to her elimination from the show, and that included appearing on “Ellen” to recently talk about the gig. Also, to speak about her breakup from Nick, which is coming obviously in the coming weeks. She didn’t go into details, but described it with the following:

“He let me go. I was shocked, too … I really thought that I Nick and I had a really strong connection—and I was pretty heartbroken when it happened—but I’ve moved on since then.”

Rachel says that she is ready to date again, and there is very reason to doubt this. The show did finish filming last year before Thanksgiving, so she’s had a good three months to get herself ready for this show. After all, Lindsay already said that she was offered up the job not too long after filming for the show ended. Producers knew that they wanted her, and the feeling was seemingly mutual.

The video is good mostly for the sake of giving us a little more of a sense of Rachel’s personality, in addition to what she’s hoping to get out of this show. She also even stands up for the controversial Corinne Olympios, which may be an indication that she’s not as crazy as the show makes her seem.

Monday’s new episode will conclude the final four Rose Ceremony, and also feature the return of Andi Dorfman. Read up on that here. (Photo: ABC.)
