‘The Bachelor’ overnight dates episode to be split due to ABC’s ‘When We Rise’
For those of you already looking forward to seeing the next new episode of “The Bachelor,” take note that there is going to be something very different about the Overnight Dates coming up: You won’t probably be seeing all of them over the course of the same night.
Due to the upcoming airing of the LGBTQ movement miniseries “When We Rise” next week, “The Bachelor” will only be airing an hour-long episode on Monday, February 27 from 8:00 p.m. until 9:00. The second part of the episode will air on March 6, and will be a part of a massive three-hour(!) block that also includes the annual “Women Tell All” special. (Provided that Corinne Olympios is eliminated by then, which seems likely, you gotta figure that she’s going to have quite a bit that she wants to say on the occasion.)
ABC also released today their short synopsis of what could be coming up in this hour-long installment:
“What is Andi Dorfman doing at Nick’s hotel door? He just finished an emotional journey around the United States and Canada to visit the families of the final four women: Corinne, Rachel, Raven and Vanessa. A no-holds barred heart-to-heart conversation ensues with Andi sharing a bombshell suggestion with Nick about the fantasy suite. After a painful rose ceremony, where Nick makes the gut-wrenching decision about which woman to send home, he rejoices with the final three bachelorettes as they head to the snow-capped winter wonderland of Lapland, Finland. Who will accept an invitation to the fantasy suite?”
Well, it looks like Andi may have some value in terms of her conversation with Nick … at least maybe. What’s certainly awkward about the two talking about it is that Nick famously was despised by much of America for asking Andi why she slept with him if she had no intention of picking him in the end. Beyond this conversation, this segment probably won’t do much beyond make people more excited to see the overnight dates unfold.
If you missed it, there was one other important story we touched on last night, as it was revealed that Rachel Lindsay’s father DID meet Nick Viall. It just happened off-camera.
As per always, be sure to share what you think about some of this news in the comments. (Photo: ABC.)
