‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Reunited (or united) and it feels so good

LogoThe seventh season of “Game of Thrones” is the penultimate one for the series. Do you hear that subtle ticking? That’s either some of the White Walkers making noise, or that is Father Time coming to slowly leech away life from the show. There are only two seasons left, and as little as 13 episodes. What we’re trying to say here is that now is the time, if there ever was a time, in order to get the ball rolling towards what’s going to be (hopefully) a really fantastic conclusion to years’ worth of craziness.

Also, we really want to see people give Davos a hug from all over Westeros. He looks like he gives great hugs.

We wish we’d have a quote from Liam Cunningham (Davos) in order to further clarify this — but alas, we don’t. Instead, though, what we do have are some comments that he gave recently to IGN (while promoting the Game of Thrones Live Concert Tour Experience) that make you get pumped-up at the idea of him at least meeting some other main characters. Maybe he’ll get to hug them.

“The progress of the show with the White Walkers and all that stuff, it’s pretty obvious nobody’s going to be able to take this force on on their own … So when we’ve had all these, for all these seasons, disparate stories come from disparate ends of Westeros, it has been – and it’s been signaled from the end of last season – that there’s a lot of people and situations going to be coming together. It was kind of interesting to meet some people who I normally only meet on a red carpet. Who that is and when that happens remains to be seen.”

It’s almost a given at this point that there would be some reunions, given that it’s going to take more than Jon Snow and his wonderful-but-beaten-up army to take these people on. Sure, Cersei Lannister probably isn’t going to do (bleep) to help, but maybe you get Daenerys on the throne in King’s Landing and everything changes.

What do you want to see from Cunningham’s character — and every other character — moving forward? (We want to ask if you think there’ll be hugs, but we may be getting a tad creepy on the subject now.) Share below!
