‘Bachelor in Paradise 4’ spoilers: Chad Johnson reportedly returning

BP -Sure, it’s only February, but that isn’t stopping some of the first rumors to come out regarding the future of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Specifically, the news about the fourth season we’ve got today pertains to none other than Chad Johnson, otherwise known as the brash dude from JoJo Fletcher’s season who got eliminated by her for being a heel — and kicked out of Paradise for getting drunk and going crazy. Obviously, in the real world you probably wouldn’t want a guy with his reputation hanging out at your resort vacation for romance, but … ratings.

According to Us Weekly, Chad says that he’s coming back for the fourth season — it seems a little bit early for casting to be official, but knowing this franchise he’ll be back so long as he stays single and they want him back. They obviously have people there in case he flies off the handle, so that’s not as much of a concern.

What we wonder in the end is this: Is there any chance at all that this guy manages to make it past the first episode or two? We’re hard-pressed to know if, after the Lace Morris debacle, anyone wants to put up with some of his shenanigans. He can be fun, but he also has a tendency to be incredibly belligerent and even physical when he gets drunk or things don’t go his way. It’s a lot for anyone to deal with. Maybe some of it could be for TV, but it still takes things to another level few other people in the franchise go to.

As for who else seems to be a lock, we feel confident that Corinne Olympios is there if she wants to be there (and she doesn’t win this season, which seems unlikely). Meanwhile, we feel the same way about Taylor Nolan (more instant drama) from this season with Nick Viall and also Danielle Maltby, who was just sent home on this past episode. Given that Rachel Lindsay is “The Bachelorette,” Corinne’s already most likely going going, and someone wins between Raven Gates and Vanessa Grimaldi. It’s possible the runner-up will, especially since being on Paradise is no longer a death sentence to being the lead of a show down the line.
