Come March 1, you’re going to get a chance to see an epic TV event like no other — a crossover event that is spanning every part of the “One Chicago” universe! Not only are you going to get new episodes of “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD,” but these episodes will carry over into “Chicago Justice.”
Just in case that is not enough for you, know this: We’re going to see these stories also find a way to incorporate “Chicago Med” in some shape or form. We’re not going to see an episode proper of the show during the crossover, but it’s very much there.
What should be great about this particular event is to see the entire process of a crime from start to finish — you’ll have an incident, an investigation, and then also a battle in the courtroom to secure that justice is ensured. While “Law & Order” accomplished many things during their run, we don’t think that even they were able to tell a story that was this all-encompassing from start to finish. It should be fantastic in terms of drama, but also a great chance to learn more about all of these characters.
For “Chicago Justice,” we do certainly think that it could be in need of a boost. While we do personally think that the show’s got a ton of potential, it also faces some pretty huge challenges, including airing at a timeslot that has challenged NBC for a good while now. Sunday nights are great for them during football season, but in the spring they have a few holes that they need to fill. Hopefully, this show is going to be a way to give them a little bit more when it comes to ratings and stability.
What do you want to see take place during this crossover, and do you think that this is the best way to lead into the premiere of “Chicago Justice”?
