‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 16 preview: First look at big Donnie Wahlberg – Kevin Dillon episode

Whether you love “Blue Bloods” or “Entourage,” there is something to be excited about on Friday night’s new episode “Hard Bargain.” You’re going to get a chance to see an appearance from Kevin Dillon (best known as Johnny Drama from the HBO comedy) as a character very much important to Linda Reagan’s life: Her brother Jimmy.

Unfortunately, Jimmy is not a guy with anywhere near as sterling a reputation as his sister. He’s got a knack for getting himself into trouble, and that in turn could cause trouble for everyone else. On this upcoming episode, we’re going to see him approach Donnie Wahlberg’s character in hopes of getting some protection while some very bad people are after him. This puts Danny in a compromising spot, given the sole fact that he’s got to tow the line with being both a police officer and also a devoted family member. That’s not an easy thing to do; we’ve seen it so many times in the past.

As someone who’s loved much of Dillon’s work beyond just the aforementioned show, we’re excited to have him here; also, it’s good to get a case that is very family-focused beyond just the Reagans working for the NYPD. We haven’t seen a ton of Linda lately, and this is a chance to turn things around and give her some more screen time.

Here’s the only bad news that we’ve got to report on for the time being: Because of the way in which CBS is currently scheduling things, this could be the last episode of “Blue Bloods” that we have for at least a few weeks. There is going to be some time off for the show both in late February and early March, and it is fair to assume that more is coming when you presume that the NCAA Tournament is going to be coming up later in the spring.
