‘Chicago Justice’ spoilers: First details on premiere episode

Justice -Come Wednesday, March 1, the premiere of “Chicago Justice” will be here on NBC. This is a show that on paper, feels like a very natural and organic extension of the entire franchise. You see people get arrested on “Chicago PD,” but that is often not the end of the story. There is another stage of the process, and people out there meant to both help the innocent and stop the guilty. This is a show with a powerful but straightforward concept, and we are absolutely very much interested in seeing how it plays out when we actually get a chance to watch it in full.

Think of this article as your first opportunity to get a teaser or two; we’ve got for you below, courtesy of the network, some of the first details from the premiere episode:

“Firehouse 51 responded to a horrific warehouse fire that killed 39 people. This led the Chicago P.D. on a manhunt for the suspect. Now with someone in custody for both arson and multiple murders, it is up to Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) and his team, including lead investigator Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) to step in to bring some peace and resolution to so many families and friends of those lost – including one very close to home. When the team comes face to face with a hotshot attorney (guest star Bradley Whitford), they find themselves up against a dicey confession, incriminating evidence, and a questionable motive.”

This episode is going to be an extension of what you had on both “Fire” and “PD,” and with that, there are going to be several familiar faces that you’ve got an opportunity to see. Taylor Kinney will be coming over from “Fire,” as will Jason Beghe and Elias Koteas from “PD.” This special airing of the show (the time-period premiere is set for March 5) is specifically designed as a means to get people a little bit more excited about the product, the story, and where we could end up seeing it go from here moving in the rest of the season.
