‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 13 trailer: An extended look at Gorilla Grodd’s return

Grodd -The bad news that we’ve got for fans of “The Flash” is rather simple tonight: There is no new episode of the show coming on the air. It’s Valentine’s Day, so the assumption for the folks over at The CW is that many viewers have some other stuff going on tonight.

Luckily, the network was still kind enough to give us something new to discuss today in the form of the trailer below for “Attack on Gorilla City.” This video gives you a good sense of the quest from Barry Allen and company to head over on Earth-2, hoping to ensure that Harry is rescued from the clutches of Gorilla Grodd. In theory, he’s a villain that The Flash knows he can defeat — he’s done so on a number of different occasions already.

Unfortunately, there are two things that complicate this further for him.

1. This is not Barry Allen’s home turf – For the first time, he’s not battling Grodd on his own Earth — instead, he’s heading over to Gorilla City, a place where Grodd’s been around some more like-minded gorillas. They may not all like him, but this was a great chance to hone some of his powers!

2. Grodd’s got even more incentive for revenge – You gotta think that all of these losses that Grodd is taking are making him rather angry. This also may be a plan that he’s been formulating for some time, taking Harry in hopes that The Flash would turn up and he could finally take him back and get back to his stomping grounds on Earth-1. This could easily be the most epic Grodd story to date, and there’s absolutely a lot to look forward to there! Visually, we also have a feeling that it could be one of the most impressive just because you’re getting multiple gorillas, and we know that the CGI work we’ve seen from the show already with these is nothing short of outstanding.

What do you think about the trailer, and do you have any huge expectations for the two-part episode to come? Share below! Also, be sure to head over to this link in the event you want to grab some additional news right now when it comes to “The Flash.” (Photo: The CW.)
