‘This Is Us’ episode 15 preview: ‘Jack Pearson’s Son’ and a Valentine’s Day story

Jack -For those of you who love “This Is Us,” there is one thing that we know to be true: This is a show that loves to pull on the emotional heartstrings. Sometimes, it doesn’t even need to tell you too much in advance for you to know that it’s going to happen. Such is the case with next week’s new episode entitled “Jack Pearson’s Son.” Once you know that this is the title, you probably have an inkling that there are going to be some tear-jerking moments ahead.

Also, you’re going to get a chance to see a little bit of romance in this episode given that it is Valentine’s Day. Take a look below for some further details.

Synopsis – “As Kevin stresses about the premiere of his play, he receives support from an unexpected source. Randall struggles under the pressure of both his work and ailing father. Rebecca and Jack’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t go as planned. Toby and Kate decide to dig deep and get to know each other’s biggest secrets.”

One of the most interesting things about this episode comes via the question of whose son the title is referring to. Is it Kevin, Randall, or both? Is this just meant to be an episode focused mostly on the two of them? The reason we ponder over this so much is because most of the titles to date have related back to some specific points in the story, and there has been a sense of reasoning and intention behind many of them. They are chosen purposefully, and you are meant to ponder over them.

Given that we are getting close now to the finale, we’re left to wonder at the same time exactly how the story is going to come to an end.

Promo – There are a wide array of relationship tensions that are present here, but beyond all of that, the thing that has us the most concerned is what is going on with William and his future. We already know that Randall is struggling, as well; can he keep it together for long enough to be there for his dad?
