‘Timeless’ episode 15 preview: Misha Collins’ Eliot Ness makes his debut

Timeless -

Tonight, “Timeless” is going back to the 1920’s France in an effort to continue the search for Garcia Flynn, while also allowing us to meet their version of Charles Lindbergh and Ernest Hemingway. This is a show that brought you some wonderful costumes this time around, but moving into next week we’re heading back to America, but to a time period that is not all that different (at least in terms of the year). We’re heading to Chicago! Specifically, we’ll be in the city during the height of Al Capone’s reign of terror, and we’ll see (of course) a team-up between the noted gangster and Garcia Flynn.

Knowing our heroes, it should not come as that much of a surprise to anyone to see them team up with none other than Eliot Ness, one of the era’s greatest heroes. This also is going to be a great opportunity to see another “Supernatural” alum on the show in Misha Collins. (Remember, we’ve already got Jim Beaver.)

Synopsis – “Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter), and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) decide to take matters into their own hands, but are caught off guard when Flynn (Goran Visnjic) lands in 1931 Chicago to call in a favor from notorious gangster Al Capone (guest star Cameron Gharaee). Hot on Flynn’s trail, our heroes try to enlist the help of famed lawman, Elliot Ness (guest star Misha Collins), in pursuit of Al Capone after Flynn aids him in avoiding justice. A clue leads the team to a crucial revelation about Rittenhouse.”

The sad thing to think about here is that there are only two more episodes to go this season, which means that the writers are going to have to move quickly when it comes to making progress on the story of Rittenhouse and these characters. It should be exciting, and as for venturing into the past, Collins seems like the perfect person to take on a hero like Ness.

Promo – This gives you plenty of Capone, but also revives a tradition that sill remains a hoot — the characters introducing themselves as ridiculous people from the modern day.

As for how the team has the Lifeboat, there’s an easy answer to that: They stole it.
