‘Elementary’ season 5, episode 14 to dive into eSports world

ElementaryWho knew that CBS would be into professional video gaming so much within the month of February? It’s completely random, but at the same time it does appear to be precisely what’s going on.

Recently, we wrote an article about how Tuesday night’s new episode of “Bull” will revolve around allegations of rigging at a game tournament; now, we can also tell you that the next new episode of “Elementary” airing on Sunday, February 19 entitled “Rekt in Real Life” is also going to focus on the subject. Not only that, but you are going to get a chance to see a number of guest stars familiar in this world! Professional eSports Players Hendrick “DJ Nintendo” Pilar, Arturo “Sabin” Sanchez, Jordan “JKap” Kaplan, Tarik “tarik” Celik, and Ryan “The Moon” are going to be appearing as Team ProFine Players, who, according to the synopsis below, will be very important to the story that is going to be coming up.

“Holmes and Watson investigate the murder of a former professional eSports video game player who died after being assaulted in front of his fans during a live video stream. Also, Shinwell approaches Joan for advice when his teenage daughter asks to meet with him for the first time in years.”

We do think that it is rather nice that we’re going to get a chance to see a strong Shinwell story for the first time in a while, especially one that allows us to get a better sense of the character’s past.

As much as we are a video gamer, meanwhile, the case involving the eSports star actually sounds rather horrifying. We are unfortunately in an era now where things like assault and murder can be caught on live streams. In turn, they can scar people who watch them for the remainder of their lives. This is obviously going to be a case that is top priority for Holmes and Watson, even if they aren’t all that familiar with the subject matter.
