‘Celebrity Big Brother 19’ finale: Was Jedward, Kim Woodburn, or Coleen Nolan the winner?
Tonight, the season finale of “Celebrity Big Brother” is airing on Channel 5, and that’s a chance for some people to either celebrate their favorite housemates, or simply celebrate the fact that this season (which really started to slow to a crawl once we got around to the end of it) is finally coming to a close.
The first thing that we’ll say about this finale, at least in terms of the placement of certain people, is WOW. There are some results we expected. Others, meanwhile, blew us away.
Sixth Place – Bianca Gascoigne. 32 days in, and we still have no idea how to spell her last name without looking it up. We figured that she’d place around here, so no shocker with this result.
Fifth Place – Nicole McLean. Same sentiment here. She and Bianca were basically interchangeable to us, and it’s hard to know how in the world the two parties even made it this far.
Fourth Place – James Cosmo. How did this happen? The only thing that we didn’t like about him was how predictable we thought his win was going to be — now that he didn’t even make the top three, it’s stunning and somewhat upsetting!
Third Place – Kim Woodburn. Don’t start with me!!! Kim won us over once she started to call down a little bit; it’s somewhat of a shame that she didn’t win.
Second Place – Jedward! Wait … Jedward?
Winner – Coleen Nolan. SERIOUSLY. Coleen Nolan.
What a weird season of the show this was, given that the winner is someone who really didn’t do much of anything. Jedward deserved to win over her, and this is someone who can’t stand Jedward in the slightest. Really, this should have gone to either Kim or James, but it’s hard to say for sure. We’re an American, and we clearly don’t have an accurate feel on Coleen’s overall level of fame in the UK. There may have been others who just saw voting for her as a vote against Jedward. Maybe that was enough of a boost.
