‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Emilia Clarke wraps with some social-media karaoke
The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” has been in production for many months now, but we’re starting to get to the point where various cast members are wrapping things up. You do have to remember here that with a cast this large, everyone is going to be done at different times — don’t take Emilia Clarke being wrapped up right now as a sign that the entire cast is already packing things up!
Clarke announced the conclusion to her filming the show in the video below, which is quite possibly one of the greatest examples out there of “Space Jam” karaoke. Who doesn’t love a rousing rendition of “I Believe I Can Fly”? Well, there are probably some people, but let’s not get into that.
Anyway, Clarke being done is one of many milestones that should eventually get us to the seventh season of the show premiering on HBO a little bit later this year. We’ve got other cast members getting wrapped up to look forward to, as well as some post-production and eventually also some of the first previews and eventually trailers for the season being released. We do think that the show will be especially secretive this year for two different reasons.
1. This is season 7 – There are only two seasons left of the show, and given that these two seasons are shorter than average, there is probably only so much that the producers are going to be willing to give away in advance. You gotta keep things close to the vest!
2. We are far ahead of the books – This was largely true last season as well, but it’s even more true now as we could be getting into a few events that are reserved for the final book of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.
