‘Elementary’ season 5, episode 14 preview: When will Jonny Lee Miller series return?

For everyone out there who does love “Elementary” as a series, we do come bearing a little bit of bad news today: There is no new episode airing next week. As a matter of fact, there is also not a new episode airing the week after, either. Specifically, you are going to be waiting until you get around to Sunday, February 19 to see what happens next for Jonny Lee Miller and company.

So what gives when it comes to that? The answer is really so simple as the sole fact that there are two major events coming up that the series would never want to compete against in a million years. First, you’ve got some competition that is coming up courtesy of the Super Bowl, and then after that, you’ve got the Grammy Awards. These are two competitors that are going to cause some problems against anything that they are on the air against — given that the Grammys air on CBS, there would be no way for the show to even air on that week in the first place.

While there unfortunately not a whole lot that we can say at the moment about what’s going to be coming up a little bit later this season, we can at the very least give you an episode title: “Rekt in Real Life.” Unfortunately, there is not too much that we can say about this show beyond this, but we figure that it will be the similar sort of combination that you’ve come to expect from the series over time. There is going to be a great deal of comedy, but at the same time, we do envision that you’ll have another difficult case for Sherlock and Watson to try and solve.

The only thing that we are specifically hoping for as we reach the end of the season is that we get some further opportunities to dive into some long-term arcs. This show benefits from having serialized villains, though it is not something that is present particularly often.
