‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ episode 9 preview: Impressing Steve Ballmer is no easy task (video)
Steve Ballmer may not have Warren Buffett money, but he is still one of the richest men in America. Not only that, but he may also be one of the most enthusiastic men in America. He’s got energy for days, which may be why he’s the perfect billionaire to own a basketball team like the Los Angeles Clippers. He’ll get the crowd going at the games, and you know that he cares about winning just as much as he does the bottom line.
With that, there’s going to be a good bit of fun that comes with seeing him on Monday night’s new “Celebrity Apprentice” episode, where he is one of the key advisers for the next task. Apparently, the remaining contestants are going to be tasked with doing something pertaining to the Clippers, and judging from the promo below, they mostly look like glorified cheerleaders with face-paint. We gotta imagine that this could be pretty awkward for the remaining celebrities if one of them is a Warriors or a Lakers fan, right?
There are another two celebrities being fired at once for seemingly this task, which means that in between this and the other one coming up based on QVC, we’re going to be seeing three firings leading up to the end of the episode. That gives us the final four at the episode’s end.
So who could be a part of that group? We would say that, for now, Lisa Leslie and Ricky Williams are probably in the most danger. They’ve each been criticized at times in the boardroom, and neither one of them won when they were Project Manager. Specifically, Leslie’s got a pretty terrible win-loss record right now. Maybe you can also argue that Boy George could be in danger given that he just missed a task.
At present, we would say that the only remaining players we have confidence in to make the final four are Laila Ali, Matt Iseman, and maybe Brooke Burke. Carson Kressley in particular is in an interesting spot, given that prior to the last task, we would’ve called him a lock. Now, we’re not anywhere near as sure.
