‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3, episode 10 preview: What does Oliver know?
Just in case there were any questions on the state of the relationship between Connor and Oliver on ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder,” the sneak peek below is proof-positive on one thing above all else: The two parties are very much in a tenuous place.
This sneak peek below specifically makes it clear to Connor that he is not going to get away with telling many falsehoods to Oliver at this point, and there is a very simple reason for that: His ex seems to have figured out quite a few things about his past, including the events of the bonfire. The trust that was once there now seems to be scattered all across the wind, and there is no telling at the moment just how Connor is going to be able to win back some of the trust that he’s obviously lost over time.
What makes matters worse at the moment is the sense of desperation that Connor and the (remaining) members of the Keating Five are going to be facing in the wake of two series-changing events: Annalise’s arrest, and the death of Wes. The latter is the most shocking event of the entire series, given that he was in some ways the connective tissue between everyone. How the show finds a way to continue to bond these characters together without him will be one of their more interesting challenges.
Could all of this turmoil eventually push Connor and Oliver closer together? Maybe, but if nothing else we do see Oliver becoming so much more involved in Annalise’s operations than he’s been so far in the series. The District Attorney’s office is going to be busy gathering evidence against her in this episode, and it remains to be seen just how many of her students choose to rally behind her. (We still fall in the camp that wonders why some of these people don’t just take off and find a new career elsewhere — it HAS to be better than this.)
