‘Star’ episode 6 preview: Who’s the lead?

The music industry is often a game about politics, and to go along with that, it’s also often a power struggle. You have to figure out not only where you stand in it, but if you’re in a group, also where you stand within that. This is going to be one of the points of conflict for the upcoming February 1 episode of “Star,” which carries with it the title of “Infamous.”

So what are you going to be seeing over the course of the hour? It’s ultimately a case of good news and bad news for the young group. They’re getting a chance to perform at one of their most prestigious events to date, and in theory, you would have to consider that to be great news. However, Jahil’s actions start to overwhelm much of everything else that is going on.

Synopsis – “When Star, Simone and Alex are invited to perform at a fancy charity event, Jahil puts Alex in the lead and strongly encourages Star to ditch Hunter. Ultimately, Star still manages to be the star, while Jahil dodges a debt.”

Here’s the question that we wonder after reading something like that: If Star is the star without being the star (try saying that five times fast), how much of a problem is that going to create within the group? Will there be some disruptions when it comes to the chemistry moving forward?

Promo – One of the things that Fox is doing so well in terms of marketing this show is playing with the whole concept of misdirection. These promos start off with you think that they are one thing, only to then see them end with them going in a very different (and far darker) direction. We are certainly excited to see where we are going to see things from here.
