‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 11 preview: Cisco takes on Gypsy in ‘Dead or Alive’

Cisco -

Tonight on The CW, you’re going to get a chance to see the return of “The Flash” with new episodes, and in particular at the center of the winter premiere is going to be a wide array of questions regarding whether or not we will be seeing Barry Allen figure out the right way in order to save the life of one Iris West.

We don’t exactly expect everything to be resolved over the course of this episode, but next week’s “Dead or Alive” will be bringing forward the first appearance of “Sleepy Hollow” alum Jessica Camacho in the role of Gypsy, a powerful meta-human who may be the closest thing that we’ve got to an adversary for Cisco Ramon in particular. She’s a more advanced version of Vibe basically, and this could lead to him being far and away in the position of underdog in the event that he opts to go up against her. This certainly sounds scary, but Cisco’s a resourceful guy. He’s been able to come up with countless ways in which to build a better mousetrap, so we have a feeling that he’s going to be able to figure it out here, as well.

Synopsis – “H.R.’s (Tom Cavanagh) past catches up with him when a bounty hunter with vibe powers named Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) arrives in Central City to bring him back to Earth-19 to stand trial for his crime. It turns out inter-dimensional travel is illegal on their Earth. H.R. surrenders but when Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) find out that H.R.’s only hope would be to challenge Gypsy to a fight to the death, they intercede and Cisco offers to fight Gypsy instead.”

The fact that Cisco would be willing to stand up for H.R. in this capacity is in some ways a rather great testament to the sort of guy that he is. He may not know this incarnation of Harrison Wells altogether well, but he’s still ready and willing to go to bat for him if need be.

Promo – Cisco versus Gypsy in Trial By Combat. Basically, there’s going to be a moment or two in here that feels like “Game of Thrones.” Let’s just say that he’s going to need a little bit of training…
