‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10 spoilers: Kate Micucci, Laura Spencer to return for big Raj episode

Bull -What in the world is going on with Raj’s romantic life on “The Big Bang Theory“? This is a question that we’ve long wanted a good answer to, and the photo above via Entertainment Weekly could offer something that we have not had in a rather-long time: Progress.

This image from the upcoming February 2 episode features several of the women who were previously in the character’s life at one point or another: Emily (Laura Spencer), Claire (Alessandra Torresani), Lucy (Kate Micucci), and the other Emily (Katie Leclerc). We’re glad to see Leclerc back as someone who is a big fan of “Switched at Birth,” but at the same exact time we have a certain degree of awareness to the fact that she was only in a single episode. Consider her appearance more about the star power. There are also some other women who Kunal Nayyar’s character has interacted with who are not turning up in this episode — remember Yvette the veterinarian who made one appearance earlier in the series? It seemed like she and Raj hit it off. Meanwhile, we also had Isabella, the cleaning lady who worked at the university earlier this season. Whatever happened to that?

What we’re trying to get at is that through all of Raj’s ghosts of girlfriends past, there are some women who feel almost like actual ghosts in the way in which the series has handled them.

As for why all of these women are turning back up, they could be offering up Raj some insight as to why their relationships did not work out. Think of this as a form of therapy. Now that we’ve said that, it feels pretty easy to figure out many of these failures — he and Lucy had too much collective anxiety at the time, he tried to date Emily and Claire at the same time, and the other Emily was pretty mean and took advantage of him for his money.

We always felt personally like Lucy would be Raj’s final endgame match, just because the two both started out as people with terrible social deficiencies. They understood each other, but just weren’t in the right place. Maybe they could be in a better place soon? Fingers crossed.

For now, tell us what you think about getting all of these women back together for an episode! Also, head over here to read our most-recent episode review for “The Big Bang Theory” right now. (Photo: CBS.)
