‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 14 preview: Method Man returns in ‘In & Out’

Do you remember Method Man and his last appearance on “Blue Bloods”? It has been a while since the rapper turned up in the role of Mario Hunt, but he was a part of a very important story a couple of years back.

Now, he’s getting set to return for a reprisal. You are going to see Method Man return for the next new episode of the show (airing on February 3) entitled “In & Out,” one that could lead to Frank having to negotiate with Hunt after the death of a gang leader sparks some tension. If he doesn’t resolve it, it could lead to further problems down the road.

Synopsis – “While investigating the murder of a gang leader, Danny and Baez learn the accused shooter is an ex-con who is romantically linked to his parole officer, who might be assisting in a cover up. Also, concerned the murder might spark further violence, Frank steps in to mediate but must deal with Mario Hunt (Method Man), the rival gang leader who killed a police chief two years ago.”

After everything that we’ve seen Jamie and Eddie go through as of late, it’s a little bit surprising to not see the two parties mentioned at all in here. Yet, at the same exact time, this does not mean that they are not going to be involved in the episode. The show may just be keeping things under wraps there for now. (At least they had a nice moment tonight!)

In getting back to the gang leader’s murder, the real point of intrigue here, at least for us, seems to be seeing how the show continues to portray the state of gang violence in the city. The real key to mastering this story is to get to the humanity of some of these people, and give viewers at home a sense of their motivations and facets. Even if you don’t have anything in common with a character you see on TV, you still want to find a way to relate to them. That’s a sign of the writers doing their job.
