‘Emerald City’ episode 5 preview: Off to see the Wizard

Tonight, “Emerald City” gave you an episode that introduced plenty of story on the Wizard, Dorothy, and others. So what’s going to happen next? Well, we’ve got a story coming up entitled “Everybody Lies,” and there are going to be a number of different things that are coming up over the course of the next hour. Then again, there’s also plenty of scary stuff. You do have to remember here that this is a show where a lot of scary stuff does occur, and you have to be prepared for that!

With that in mind, we want to do our part to offer up at least a few more details as to what could be a huge story for West — and the Wizard doing everything that he can to ensure that there are no problems continuing to arrive at his doorstep.

Synopsis – “Desperately seeking revenge for the death of her sister, West (Ana Ularu) tracks down Dorothy (Adria Arjona) and uses enchanted interrogation techniques to get the information she needs. The Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio) seeks the aid of the Kingdom of Ev to build a weapons arsenal to help him defeat the Beast Forever. Meanwhile, an old acquaintance may hold to the key to Lucas (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) recovering his lost memories.”

The promo below actually chooses to shake things up a little bit, and focuses more so on the Dorothy story than anything that is going on with West or any of the “witches.” It features her pointing a gun, and an iconic mentioning of “off to see the Wizard.” All in all, NBC is doing a killer job promoting this show! They’re giving you little mentions of “The Wizard of Oz,” without drowning them in a sea of nostalgia in the process.

Also, we do still have to say that this is one of the more visually striking shows that is out there. this promo spells that out as well as any could.
