Johnny Galecki weighs in on potential ‘Big Bang Theory’ season 11

Big Bang -For the time being, we do know that there is some interest in making a season 11 of “The Big Bang Theory” happen. However, at the same time there are clearly some things that are standing in the way of it — most notably, there are the issues related to the cast and the contracts. At present, nobody is signed to appear on the show next season, and bringing it back could prove to be extremely pricey. We are at the point now where everyone is making a good bit of money, and you have to figure out a way to make things work both in terms of salary and in terms of scheduling, given precisely how busy everyone else.

For one great example of that, just look at Johnny Galecki, who is currently in the process of promoting his new movie “Rings” in addition to being a star on the CBS sitcom. He recently stopped by Entertainment Weekly in order to further promote the new project, and in the process did his part to offer up a few more details as to what is going

“We’re very much talking about [the show’s future] right now, and it seems that the writers are very confident and excited that they can write some more after this year, which is an incredible testament to them … If they’re confident that they can do more, then I know that we’re still having a great time with it on stage, so hopefully a bit longer.”

We do think that there is probably some sort of natural end point when it comes to working on this show, and we also probably think that this end point is coming within the next couple of years. Given that another CBS sitcom in “Two and a Half Men” made it to season 12, it’d be nice to see this show get to that point and then wind things down before it either faded into obscurity or ran out of good stories to tell. For the time being, there is still a certain degree of freshness in the stories being told, so there shouldn’t be a hurry to put on the brakes immediately.
