People’s Choice Awards 2017: Fifth Harmony (without Camila Cabello) perform ‘Work From Home’

PCA -

The People’s Choice Awards tonight were notable for many different things, but for fans of Fifth Harmony, one of the biggest reasons was that this event marked the first time that the girl group and former “X Factor” contestants were performing on TV following Camila Cabello’s official departure. Previously, they performed on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” but it was filmed prior to the big announcement.

Tonight, the remaining four members in Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui all took the stage in order to perform. Their biggest hit from this past year in “Work From Home” took center stage, as we got to see what the sound for the four-piece group is like now.

Why pick this song? We know that there are some people online asking that question, and the simple answer that we can give you for the time being is that this is the group’s most popular commercial track. Therefore, this was a song to appeal to the majority of the audience who may not have heard much of their music before beyond this song. For those of you hoping to hear more, rest assured that there are going to be some further opportunities to do that in the months ahead. After all, there are going to be many more performances coming up for the group, and they know that. They’re also planning to have some new music out there for the massed by the time we make it to the end of the year.

We certainly don’t think that there is too much that we can add about the performance that will sway fans of the group one way or another. If you love Fifth Harmony and were loyal to them after Camila’s exit, odds are you loved this. If you were upset about the exit, maybe you didn’t.

Also, you can see the group accept the Favorite Group award in the video below.
