‘Reign’ season 4 promo tells the tale of three powerful queens

Reign -The CW this year has certainly made you wait a long time for the return of “Reign,” but the good news at the moment is rather clear: The show is almost back! On Friday, February 10, you’ll get a chance to see the show back on the air, and with some new episodes that are going to feature the continued evolution of Mary. She’s now back in Scotland for good, but many problems have followed her from France — also, there’ll be new ones popping up here and there, as well.

What we appreciate about the first promo (see below) released by The CW is that it presents things in almost a confessional format as you can see Adelaide Kane’s character alongside Catherine (Megan Follows) and Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) discussing everything that they’ve all done over the course of the series — and what they will continue to do in order to keep their reigns alive. They all acknowledge that they’ve committed plenty of sins, but simultaneously they’ve done basically whatever they need to do in order to ensure that they can stick around and have power.

Given that there is only a limited amount of time left on the series now, it’s difficult to know precisely how much ground that the show is going to cover. However, at the same exact time we have to figure that they will cover many more developments in Mary’s love life, some further battles, and a look at what her legacy will be. Unless the show really runs things on fast-forward the rest of the way, it’s hard to think that they are going to be able to chronicle the remainder of Mary’s life. Therefore, you just have to try to make the best you can out of the space that you have.

So long as the show delivers on everything that we know that it can in terms of storytelling and drama, we have a feeling that we will be satisfied in the end.
