‘Supernatural’ season 12 spoilers: Meet a new mystery man

Supernatural season 12 episode 20For everyone out there who enjoys “Supernatural” and likes it when the show gets a tad mysterious, this little bit of casting news may be right up your alley.

According to a report coming in right now via Deadline, David Hadyn-Jones (who has appeared on “NCIS,” several Hallmark movies, and a wide array of other projects) is going to be appearing on multiple episodes moving forward of the twelfth season in the role of Arthur Ketch, an associate of the British Men of Letters. While there may not be all that much that is known about him so far, it does appear as though he’s going to serve as a major thorn in the side of Sam and Dean. After all, didn’t Lady Toni fulfill that role when she was around?

Hadyn-Jones’ character was first presented as potentially a key component to the story near the end of the winter portion of the season, but his most important work is very much still to come — it’s something that you’ll get a chance to see play out more over time, starting of course with the January 26 winter premiere, which is going to hopefully resolve the significant midseason cliffhanger about whether or not we’re going to see the brothers escape their current fate. This is, after all, a rather different challenge than anything that they’ve been confronted with in the past. They’re going to be squaring off with the government, and a group of people who are really just trying to do their job. They’re not evil entities in their own right, and simply felt as though the Winchesters were out to do something to the President.

If you missed it, today’s been a big day in the “Supernatural” universe for some other reasons, as Misha Collins was just cast in a guest spot on NBC’s “Timeless.” You can read a little bit more on that subject just by heading over to the link here. (Photo: The CW.)
